There appears to be no stopping Katy Perry; the Pop starlet’s smash ‘California Gurls’, this week, extends its #1 reign on the Billboard Hot 100 to six (consecutive) weeks.
The impressive feat has seen Perry fend off competition from Eminem and Runway Rihanna’s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ - which has had to settle for the #2 spot on the chart for three weeks in a row now. (Side note: Am I the only one who considers ‘Love The Way You Lie’ uber overrated anyway?)
Other notable Hot 100 movements include Nicki Minaj’s ‘Your Love’ – which jumps #23-#18, Ciara’s ‘Ride’ – which climbs #50-#45, and Ne-Yo, who’s ‘Beautiful Monster’ ascends #60-#56.
